Getting started

Dropola is built so you can go from zero to a live gallery quickly — no technical setup required.

  • Sign up for free and open your dashboard from the top navigation.
  • Create an event with a name and date — your unique join code and QR are generated instantly.
  • Print or share the QR code so guests can scan and start uploading right away.

For guests

Guests never need to install anything. Everything happens in the mobile browser.

  • Scan the event QR code with the phone camera, or type the join code at dropola.com.
  • Tap upload, pick photos or videos from the camera roll, and add an optional name.
  • Leave a guestbook message alongside uploads when the host has guestbook enabled.

For hosts

Your dashboard is the control room for the event — open it anytime before, during, or after the day.

  • Review new uploads from the event gallery, and turn on Review first moderation to approve or hide items before guests see them.
  • Adjust your event settings — every plan gets a public gallery and live slideshow. Add a cover image, password protection, and custom colours on Pro, or unlock photo moderation and hide Dropola branding with Premium.
  • Download any photo or video in full quality anytime, and unlock a full gallery ZIP and guestbook export as CSV or PDF on the Pro and Premium plans.

Plans & billing

Dropola is pay-per-event with no subscription. Upgrade only when your celebration needs more events, unlimited uploads, or extra features.

  • Free covers 1 private event with 1GB of storage and 30 days of guest access — perfect for trying Dropola out.
  • Pro unlocks 2 events with unlimited uploads, 3 months of guest access, a cover image, password protection, custom colours, guestbook export, and ZIP downloads; Premium raises that to 3 events and 6 months, and adds photo moderation plus the option to hide Dropola branding.
  • Choose a plan on the Account page — checkout is secure and your event upgrades immediately after payment. See our Refund Policy if you need to request a refund.

Never. Guests scan the QR code (or type the join code at dropola.com) and they're in — straight from the phone's camera, no app and no account required.
Yes, on the Premium plan. Switch moderation to "Review first" in your event settings and every upload waits for your thumbs-up before it's visible. On any plan, you can hide or remove items from the gallery at any time.
Always. Dropola keeps your originals — no compression. Open any photo or video in the gallery to download it in full quality, or grab the whole event as one ZIP file on the Pro and Premium plans.
It depends on your plan. Free galleries stay available for a month; paid plans keep them much longer so you have time to revisit and download.
