Terms of Service
The ground rules for using Dropola to collect and share event memories.
01The basics
By using Dropola you agree to these terms. Dropola lets a host create an event and share a link or QR code; guests can then upload photos and videos — with or without an account.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a host account or to upload as a guest, even without an account. Dropola is not intended for use by anyone under 18.
02Accounts
Hosts are responsible for their login credentials and for the events they create, and should keep their email verified.
Tell us promptly if you think someone is using your account without permission.
03Plans & payment
Some features are free; others require a one-time, per-event upgrade to Dropola Pro or Dropola Premium. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, shown in EUR excluding VAT — we don't store your full card details.
The price and what's included are shown before you buy. As an EU consumer you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase; because upgrades are digital services that can start immediately, that right may end (or reduce to a proportionate refund) once you start using the paid features.
Refunds, cancellations, and what happens to your event after a refund are explained in our Refund Policy.
Read the full Refund Policy at /refunds. Pricing details are on the pricing section of our homepage and at checkout.
04Acceptable use
Use Dropola lawfully and respect others. In particular:
- Don't upload illegal, infringing, hateful, or abusive content.
- Don't upload media of people without their permission (or a guardian's, for children).
- Don't try to break, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
- Respect the privacy of guests and anyone shown in the media.
05Your content & ownership
You and your guests keep ownership of the photos and videos you upload.
You grant Dropola a limited licence to store, process (for example to make thumbnails) and display that content only to run your event. This licence ends when the content is deleted, apart from short-lived backups and anything we must keep by law.
By uploading, you confirm you have the right to share the content and the permission of anyone identifiable in it.
06Reporting content
If you believe content infringes your rights or shouldn't be there, email [email protected] with the details and we'll review it. We may remove content and suspend events or accounts that break these terms.
07Deleting your data
Hosts can delete events and media at any time, and can ask us to close their account. We then delete or anonymise the related data, except records we must keep for a limited legal period.
08Service & liability
We work hard to keep Dropola available but can't guarantee it will never be interrupted, and we may change or retire features.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law. We don't exclude liability that the law won't let us exclude — including your statutory consumer rights.
09Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by German law. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country where you normally live, regardless of this clause.
EU consumers can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr to raise a complaint about an online purchase.
10Changes & contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version. Full company registration details (legal name, address, and register entry) will be added here once finalised.
